With the start of home buying season comes the search for the best neighborhoods to raise a family, which is often determined by the quality of education in the area.
But year-end “best” lists that rank top schools can be a little overwhelming for an Alamo City newcomer.
With that in mind, we’ve compiled 15 affordable homes — relative to other properties in each area — located within the boundaries of San Antonio’s best-rated school districts on a recent report.
The education analyst group Niche ranked local school districts looking ahead to 2016, and graded them based on proficiency in key categories like academics, health and safety, educational outcomes and extracurricular activities.
Other than their proximity to a high-ranking school, some of these homes have cool features like chef’s kitchens and large backyards.
Even better, the estates are considered affordable for their neighborhood’s cost of living.
